Can I charge my eneloop batteries with a charger from another brand?
We always recommend using an eneloop or Panasonic charger to charge your eneloop rechargeable batteries.
However, most other manufacturers' chargers will be able to charge your eneloop batteries, but we cannot guarantee optimal charging and functioning of your eneloop batteries due to slight differences in specifications between manufacturers. Panasonic/eneloop chargers are designed to complement the characteristics of their batteries in order to maximise performance.
Possible issues that may arise when using a charger from another manufacturer:
- Overcharging the batteries repeatedly = leakage and reduced service life
- Incomplete battery charging = leakage and reduced service life
- Terminal deterioration due to abnormal heat = Service life reduction
