When do I need to recharge my batteries?
In general, there is no significant difference between charging the batteries before or after use. However, if you only use your rechargeable batteries infrequently, such as once a month, you may forget whether or not they are charged.
Take care not to overcharge them in this case. It is recommended that a rechargeable battery be charged when 70% to 75% of its capacity has been depleted. Overcharging rechargeable batteries causes them to be damaged, which reduces their service life and may result in leakage. To avoid this, APS advises its customers to charge their batteries when 70% of their capacity has been depleted.
